What file formats do you offer?
At StarBoysVideo, all our movies are downloadable, and they are extremely high resolution. They are designed to look clear and smooth when enlarged to full screen. The other benefit of our site is that you will be able to keep watching the movies you have downloaded. They are yours to keep and watch whenever you want. You can collect them all and build a huge collection of high resolution video files on your hard drive (or burn them on a CD-ROM to archive!). We offer a choice of two file formats:

RealMedia Files are a bit smaller and the compression ratio is therefore slightly higher. Use these if you need to save bandwidth or prefer watching the videos in a window. The quality-to-file size ratio is excellent though and playback is very comfortable. You will need the free RealPlayer software to play these files. You can download RealPlayer at www.real.com
Windows Media Files are playable by pretty much everyone and the image quality is outstanding, even in full-screen mode (To watch full screen in Windows Media Player, just double-click in the middle of the screen while the video is playing). The files are bigger though and will take longer to download.
To compare: A 20-minute video is roughly 139MB in RealMedia and 224MB in Windows Media.
All our videos are usually between 100MB and 400MB in size, depending on length. Each pack consists of 5-7 videos, so please be prepared to spend a bit of time downloading (depending on your bandwidth).

I only have a dial-up connection, what should I do?
If you're on dial-up, this site is not for you. Please check out our links page to find our other sites, where you can download smaller-resolution videos as part of your membership. Alternatively, consider using our online DVD-Shop (the Cobra-Zone, also available through the links page) to buy your favourite content on DVD!

How do I download a video once I've purchased it?
IMPORTANT: Do not just click on the link to the video with your left mouse button! To download our videos, you need to right-click (click with your right mouse button) on the link, then select "Save Link As…" or "Save Target As…" (or your browser's alternative) to select a download folder on your hard drive. Please remember where you've saved the file to! As soon as download is complete, you're all set to go and you can play the file from there. You can play it again and again, it's yours for keeps!

How can I archive my downloaded videos?
We suggest you create a dedicated folder to save your downloaded videos in. That way you'll always have them at your fingertips when you want to watch them again. If you need to free up space on your hard drive, you can burn the video files to a CD-R (or DVD-R) for future use.

I have purchased several videos and have lost my overview - where can I check what I've bought?
Just click on the "My Purchases" link at the left of your screen and you'll see a handy overview of what you can currently download from our site.

How much time do I have to download after purchase?
When you make a purchase on StarBoysVideo, you have a full week to download your video files, so there's no rush to download them all immediately. The next time you login, your purchased videos will all still be available for you to download. During that week, there is no limit to the number of times you can download a file, so you can download it again if you have accidentally deleted one. Please note that the download rights are for you personally though. Please do not tell your login details to anybody else.

Can I watch streaming video on Starboysvideo?
No, our videos are all designed to be downloaded. Please do not attempt to play them in-line. If you click a video link with your left mouse button, the player will try to download the file in the background, which can take forever and the only thing you'll notice is that it doesn't work. If you have accidentally left-clicked a video link, we suggest closing the browser (and player software if necessary) and opening another session.

How can I create my own download account?
You will be asked to provide a username and password during your first purchase. Please remember these details well, they will be your future login details to retrieve purchased content. If you want to make another purchase in the future, please login before you buy, so the system already knows who you are and you won't be asked to create a new account.

How often do you add new content to the site?
We add new content all the time. Whenever we have something new for you, it will appear on the site's main page, so check back often to see what's new!

I love your content, but I would like to own it on DVD - is that possible? Some of our content is available on DVDs from OTB Video and our very own Starboys Video label. Please click on "links" to find a link to the Cobra-Zone, our online DVD shop. We ship worldwide!
